My name is Christina Francois I am first generation, Haitian immigrant. This is an account of my Florida International University global medallion experiences and thoughts. when I first learned of the global learning initiative at the school and saw some of the accolades of the students that participated in this program I was intimidated as someone who is introverted and renowned recluse amongst my family and associates completing this program seemed a monumental task in regards to other students who have created social programs and traveled to some of the most majestic sites. While that may not be the case for myself it doesn't negate all the experiences and knowledge I have learned these past years that is truly the fundamental goal of the global learning medallion program which is to learn and in turn teach others.
